WHO ARE WE ?

Currently our projects are conducted in 22 countries by dan s 2650 national staff, 145 expatriates and 63 employees at headquarters.General Objective / Summary

The Deputy Sexual Reproductive Health Advisor provides technical support to PUI Health facilities, to build capacity of Health Staff and improve quality of Sexual Reproductive Health activities.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Support & Advise on SRH Activities:

Ensure Sexual Reproductive health services are in line with PUI health policy and align with established national guidelines, with internationally accepted standards
In Collaboration with SRH Advisor and medical coordinator, work along with the program manager and other health staff, to provide technical support to implement best practices of care; and monitor the quality of SRH services in the health facilities and outreach posts
Regularly conduct field visits to the health facilities to assess the quality of services and activity implementation
Provide onsite technical support ( hands on training), facility and outreach staff
Ensure adherence to established SRH Protocols in the fields based on national guidelines and international standards
Recommend and advise on adequate supply of drugs, medical supplies, equipment’s, to ensure quality delivery of services in the facilities
Advise and strengthen referral process, decision making for obstetric emergencies

Training & Capacity Development:

Provide training in collaboration with sexual reproductive health advisor, health program manager as per identified health needs
Play a central role building capacity of local field staff (PUI and MOH) in areas, related to training, to ensure standard in the health facilities is maintained
Provide formal training for SRH team on core areas (BEmONC, FP, CMR, IMCI, Dignified Maternity care etc.)

Reporting / Internal & External Representation:

Respect and follow administrative procedures related to deputy sexual reproductive health advisors role and responsibilities
Represent the organization in SRH sector meetings with partners and local stakeholders with regular participation and other events as required.

Priorities of the Department:

Conduct regular field visits to the health facilities to assess the quality of services and activity implementation
Provide onsite technical support (hands-on training), facility and outreach staff
Ensure adherence to established SRH Protocols in the fields based on national guidelines and international standards
Proven practical experience in SRH activities and the ability to make decisions independently
Recommend and advise on adequate supply of drugs, medical supplies, equipment, to ensure quality delivery of services in the facilities.
Advise and strengthen the referral process, decision-making for obstetric emergencies
Provide formal training for the SRH team on core areas (BEmONC, FP, Dignified Maternity care etc.)
