The Legal Executive will deliver strategic legal counsel and operational support across business functions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, mitigating legal risks, and facilitating smooth execution of corporate and commercial transactions.
The role requires proven expertise in Real Estate, Oil & Gas, or Logistics, strong contract management skills, and the ability to navigate regulatory frameworks with precision.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, leases, and MOUs to safeguard the company’s interests.
Advise management on legal risks, compliance obligations, and sector-specific regulatory issues.
Liaise with regulatory agencies and manage relationships with external legal counsel.
Provide legal support in land/property acquisition, asset transfers, and corporate transactions.
Oversee company secretarial functions, including preparation of board and statutory documentation.
Represent the company in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation when required.

Requirements

LLB and BL qualification, with 3 – 5 years’ post-call experience.
Demonstrated experience in corporate/commercial law within Real Estate, Oil & Gas, or Logistics.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian corporate, property, and labour laws.
Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute resolution abilities.
High attention to detail, professional discretion, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Timely and accurate delivery of legal documents and advisory reports.
Reduction in legal exposure and compliance breaches.
Effective resolution of disputes and contract-related matters.
Quality of regulatory and stakeholder relationship management.
