We are seekinng for an Assistant Procurement Officer / Buyer to supports the procurement operations by executing market runs, sourcing quality goods, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies under the directive and supervision of the Procurement Supervisor.
The role is critical to maintaining smooth kitchen, bakery, and event operations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out daily market runs to procure food ingredients, packaging, utensils, and other operational needs as directed.
Work closely under the supervision of the Procurement Supervisor to ensure accurate purchase requests and budgets.
Source quality items at the best prices while maintaining product standards.
Verify quantities and conditions of purchased goods before delivery to store or kitchen.
Maintain proper records of market purchases including receipts and vendor details.
Assist in coordinating logistics for timely supply and replenishment of stock.
Build relationships with local vendors and traders for reliable sourcing.
Handle goods with proper hygiene and safety during purchase and transportation.
Provide daily reports to the Procurement Supervisor on all purchases made.
Perform any other duties as delegated by the Procurement Supervisor.
Requirements
Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 1 – 3 years experience.
