We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our bakery and confectionery production facility.
The ideal candidate will have up to four years of progressive experience in food production, with at least one year supervising teams in a fast-paced environment.
This role ensures that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily production activities, ensuring alignment with recipes, quality standards, and timelines.
Lead a team of bakers, packers, and machine operators, providing hands-on direction and support.
Monitor raw material usage, reduce waste, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
Implement and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards (e.g., NAFDAC, SON compliance).
Conduct daily team briefings and assign tasks based on production schedules.
Collaborate with Quality Control and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow.
Track production metrics and prepare shift reports for management.
Train and mentor junior staff to improve output, product quality, and compliance.
Assist in process improvements and contribute ideas for efficiency and product consistency.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Food Scienceor related field (or equivalent experience).
3–4 years of relevant work experience in a bakery or confectionery production setting.
Minimum 1 year experience supervising a small team or shift.
Knowledge of baking/confectionery processes and equipment (e.g., mixers, ovens, extruders).
Familiarity with basic inventory, GMP, HACCP, or other food safety systems is a plus.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts if required.
