Key Responsibilities
Dispense Medications:
Review and verify prescription accuracy.
Prepare and dispense medications following legal guidelines.
Ensure proper labelling and packaging of medications.
Ensure Compliance:
Adhere to relevant pharmacy laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medications.
Monitor and manage inventory levels effectively.
Patient Counselling:
Provide counselling and education on medications.
Address patient concerns and inquiries.
Promote adherence to prescribed medication regimens.
Manage Pharmacy Operations:
Oversee daily pharmacy operations.
Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians.
Schedule staff shifts for optimal coverage.
Stay Current With Industry Trends:
Continuously update knowledge of pharmaceutical advancements.
Attend professional development programs.
Stay informed about new medications and regulatory changes.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) Degree from an accredited institution.
Valid pharmacist license in Nigeria.
Minimum 2 years of experience working as a pharmacist in a community pharmacy or clinical setting.
Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills and experience with pharmacy software systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
