The Computer Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and surveillance infrastructure.
The role includes managing IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of CCTV systems across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems.
Set up and maintain CCTV surveillance systems including cameras, DVR/NVR units, and monitoring stations.
Monitor and troubleshoot CCTV systems to ensure proper functionality and data retention.
Perform regular checks and preventive maintenance on CCTV infrastructure.
Provide real-time support for network and system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Install and upgrade operating systems and business applications.
Configure and manage firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
Ensure security of IT and surveillance systems through access control, encryption, and threat prevention.
Collaborate with vendors and security teams for surveillance system upgrades or expansions.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
2 – 3 years of experience in IT systems support, networking, and CCTV system management.
Strong understanding of IP-based CCTV systems, DVR/NVR technology, and video management software.
Knowledge of network protocols, server systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud platforms.
Familiarity with access control systems and physical security integration.
Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and floor plans.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
