As a Generator Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing power generators to ensure their optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in power generators.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting generator components.
Repair or replace faulty parts and components to restore generator functionality.
Test and evaluate generator performance and make necessary adjustments.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures during all maintenance and repair activities.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and generator performance.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in generator technology.
Collaborate with the Power Plant team to ensure efficient and reliable operation of generators.
Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

B. Eng, HND, ND or equivalent.
Trade certification as a generator mechanic or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a generator mechanic, preferably in a power plant.
Strong knowledge of generator systems and components.
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
