The Nurturing Hearts scholarship is a new scholarship category launched this year in honour of our co-founder; Rev. Mrs. Adeyinka Badejo. It is designed to assist and encourage young females (between ages 18 – 28) who have a keen interest in children’s ministry work. This scholarship is renewable for up to a maximum of one time.
Eligibility:
Must be a resident of Nigeria and meet basic eligibility criteria (waived, where applicable).Must meet age and gender requirements as of the time of applying (proof will be requested).Must submit a complete scholarship application form online.Must be pursuing a degree, vocational training, and/or actively seeking professional development in an area directly related to children’s ministry.Must submit an essay between 500 – 750 words that describes your interest and passion for children’s ministry work and how you plan to make a positive impact in the lives of the young lives you work with (Any prior experience with children’s ministry work can be included).Must be willing to partake in an interview with the scholarship board if selected as a potential awardee

Basic Criteria:
Demonstrated financial need: Applicants must come from a less privileged background, as evidenced by providing a short personal statement on background.Academic & Personal excellence: Applicants must have a strong academic record and also possess demonstrated good character that can be readily verified.Enrollment status: Applicants must be enrolled or accepted to an accredited public tertiary institution (Note: Students in private tertiary institutions are not eligible).Previous beneficiaries: Individuals who have received at least two scholarships from our foundation in the past are not eligible to reapply to ensure fairness and equal opportunity.Multiple Applications: Applicants may apply for both the Legacy and the Nurturing Hearts scholarships. However, if selected, the applicant can receive only one scholarship award.

Applicants do not exclusivey have to be student; however, any applicant interested in applying for this scholarship may still be subject to the basic eligibility requirements to be considered for a scholarship offered by WYBF’s Educational Support Programme.
