This role involves overseeing the weighbridge team, managing the weighbridge software, maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing the weighbridge process to support overall plant efficiency. The position plays a critical role in ensuring that the plant’s operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Deliverables
Accurate Measurement and Reporting
Oversee the weighing process for all inbound and outbound trucks/vehicles.
Ensure all weights are recorded accurately in the weighbridge management system (SAP, IOTA).
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on weights and material movements for management review.
Operational Efficiency
Analyze weighbridge data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Implement process improvements to reduce vehicle waiting times and enhance throughput.
Coordinate with logistics and production teams to streamline material flows.
Compliance with Regulations
Ensure all weighbridge operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Conduct regular audits of weighbridge operations and adhere to safety standards.
Maintain documentation for inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
Operational Effectiveness
Staff Management and Development
Recruit, train, and supervise weighbridge operators ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training for continuous improvement.
Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and excellence within the weighbridge team.
Maintenance and Asset Management
Oversee the maintenance of weighbridge equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functioning.
Develop and manage a maintenance schedule for weighbridge systems and equipment.
Coordinate with external vendors for repair or upgrade of equipment as required.

Working Experience:
Must have: At least a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Weighbridge Operations including knowledge of weighing equipment and systems with specific experience in supervisory or managerial roles particularly within manufacturing environment.
