The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining sensors and repairing related electrical components. The Technician will work within the technical team to deploy solutions, diagnose issues, and ensure that all systems operate efficiently and reliably.
Job Purpose
The technician is responsible for installing and maintaining equipment required to support monitoring of various operational equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical and electronic solutions.
Conduct site visits to attend scheduled maintenance on installed equipment/systems and resolve identified issues.
Conduct preventive maintenance on deployed systems based on schedules provided.
Maintain accurate records of engineering activities, including maintenance logs and project updates.
Conduct site surveys of client environments and document findings as an input to deployment designs.
Solving system-related issues/faults related to wiring and installations.
Provide written reports on tasks performed.
Provide regular reports on up-time of assets assigned.
Ensure compliance with the organization’s health and safety standards.
Conduct scheduled checks of equipment to determine their safety and functionality.
Person Specification
General Education
A minimum of OND in a relevant engineering field such as Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
Computer literacy
Additional certifications or training in specialized technical areas will be considered a strong asset.
Technical Skill
Understanding of electrical wiring
Proficiency in using engineering tools and software.
Strong understanding of electrical wiring systems, circuits, and components.
Proficiency in one or more of the following is an added advantage:
Telematics devices
Vehicle electrical wiring
GPS systems
Telematics software
Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) systems
Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an electrical technician
Flexibility to travel to project sites when required.
Knowledge of industry safety standards and best practices.
Hands-on experience in engineering roles with a focus on wiring and technical systems.
Hands-on experience in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining [specific systems, machinery, or equipment].
Demonstrated ability to perform routine maintenance tasks, ensuring the continued functionality and safety of systems or equipment.
Work Environment
Primarily on-site installations and repairs, with occasional office work for documentation and system design.
Travel to client locations as needed for installations and support.
Extended posting outside of the primary residence area may be required.
