With the overall supervision of the Group Treasurer, the candidate will work with Head of Settlement for initial execution of Investments
Execution includes approval processes, documented engagement with businesses and counterparties, deal confirmation, deal slip generation, investment confirmations, investment reconciliations and report generations, etc

Key Responsibilities

Back up for Head of Investments
Ensure proper supervision of Treasury Analyst
Timely initiation of investments
Ensure timely settlement of trades
Ensure accurate computation of interest payments and ensure all interest payments due are paid or received.
Ensure all requirements are in place before investment initiation (approvals, deal confirmation with business and counterparties)
Effective management of Investments to maximize returns thereby generating income for the Businesses.
Daily reconciliation of cash Investments
Presentation at business meeting.
Supervise Analyst on ALCO analysis.
Daily reconciliation of securities. (business assets, collaterals from counterparties)
Provide weekly status of Investment maturities for effective monitoring of the Investments.
Accurate periodic reporting of cash and securities Investment positions to Businesses and the group
Support Fund Managers in realizing their investment and liquidity objectives.
Generating Group Investment reports that accurately capture Investment positions of each business.
Ensuring Transaction Documents for all Investments across the entities are in place (Deal slips, Counterparty confirmation letters)
Initiate Funds Transfer or securities to counterparties for investment and to Businesses as per Requests. This has to be done within TAT.
Accurate filing/documentation of all transaction documents for easy reference and retrieval
Ensure all securities are accurately captured in custody reports .
Ensure custody charges are properly reviewed and paid on time.

Requirements

A Business degree from a reputable university
Possession of a professional qualification will be an added advantage
