We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior Finance Officer to join our dynamic team.The Senior Finance Officerplays a key role in managing the financialsof the company by overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, cost analysis, and compliance functions.
The role ensures accurate financial records, supports strategic decision-making, and ensures adherence to regulatory and internal financial policies.
The ideal candidate brings experience in cost accounting, budgeting for production processes, and financial oversight in a manufacturing environment
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management &Reporting:
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Analyze financial performance, variances, and profitability by product line or production unit.
Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Reconcile accounts and ensure the timely closing of financial periods.
Compliance & Controls:
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS).
Support internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
Maintain proper internal controls and implement improvements to financial procedures.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop and manage the annual budget with department heads.
Monitor performance against the budget, providing variance analysis.
Accounting Functions:
Oversee daily operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
Ensure accurate recording of transactions per accounting principles.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor cash flow to maintain operational liquidity.
Prepare cash flow forecasts and ensure sufficient working capital.
Internal Controls:
Develop internal controls to protect assets and prevent fraud.
Review and streamline financial processes for accuracy and efficiency.
Team Management:
Supervise, mentor, and provide training to junior accounting staff.
Lead the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
Strategic Planning:
Provide financial insights for strategic planning with senior management.
Analyze market conditions to inform business strategy.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Professional qualification will be considered a plus.
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial analysis in a production environment.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Odoo, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
