The QA/QC Lead is responsible for ensuring that all products, services, and processes comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements in the oil and gas servicing sector.
The role involves developing and implementing quality assurance systems, conducting inspections and audits, and coordinating with project teams to deliver high-quality services in line with industry standards.
Job Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC policies, procedures, and systems in line with ISO 9001 and industry-specific standards (e.g., API, ASME, NACE).
Supervise QA/QC inspectors and coordinate quality control activities on-site and at subcontractor/vendor facilities.
Review and approve quality documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality manuals.
Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company standards.
Monitor quality performance and produce reports with key performance indicators (KPIs).
Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and certification bodies on all QA/QC matters.
Participate in pre-qualification and tendering processes by providing quality-related input.
Train and mentor project teams on quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and retention of quality records.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
4-5years of experience in the oil & gas Industry as a QA/QC Engineer
Strong Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
Excellent Leadership, Communicatin and Problem Solving Skills
Experience with Inspection Tools, Testing Procudures and QAQC documentation.
Strong analytical and Project Manament Capabilities.
CSWIP, ASNT Level 2 and QMS certification.
Must reside in Port Harcourt City.
