We are seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Officer with a strong background in food safety and quality management to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will ensure that all food production and service activities comply with internal quality standards, customer expectations, and relevant food safety regulations.
This role covers both industrial catering operations and the restaurant arm of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Food Safety:
Monitor and enforce compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and other relevant food safety standards.
Conduct daily quality checks on raw materials, food production processes, finished meals, and service delivery.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all QA/QC activities (checklists, logs, non-conformance reports).
Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for food safety, hygiene, and quality control.
Monitor temperature control during storage, cooking, holding, and transportation of food items (cold chain).
Ensure traceability of food products from supplier to final consumer.
Hygiene and Sanitation:
Supervise cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures in kitchen, storage, and service areas.
Ensure personal hygiene practices among food handlers align with company policies.
Conduct regular internal audits and hygiene inspections for both the industrial kitchen and restaurant.
Training & Compliance:
Train food handlers and restaurant staff on quality and food safety protocols.
Ensure all staff are up-to-date with required certifications and compliance mandates.
Support pre-operational checks and risk assessments.
Non-Conformity & Corrective Actions:
Identify, report, and follow up on non-conformances (e.g., substandard meals, poor hygiene practices, expired products).
Implement corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) in response to quality or safety deviations.
Customer Feedback & Continuous Improvement:
Gather and analyze customer and client feedback on food quality and service.
Work with the culinary and operations team to continuously improve quality outcomes.
Participate in menu sampling, sensory evaluations, and product development trials.

Compliance score from internal and external audits
Rate of non-conformities and resolved corrective actions
Timeliness of documentation and reporting
Staff training and hygiene compliance rate
Customer satisfaction ratings related to food quality and safety
Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
B.Sc. or HND in Food Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field
HACCP Level 3 or higher certification
ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 knowledge is an added advantage
Experience:
2 – 3 years of experience in QA/QC within an industrial catering, food manufacturing, or hospitality environment
