As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of energy projects.
You will work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet technical specifications, deadlines, and budget requirements.
This role offers exposure to a diverse range of projects, including renewable energy systems (solar, wind, and battery storage) and conventional power generation.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Support:
Assist in preparing project proposals, technical documentation, and cost estimates.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies under supervision.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop project plans.
Technical Coordination:
Perform basic calculations and analyses for energy projects.
Support the design and review of energy systems, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather technical information and ensure alignment with project goals.
Project Execution:
Monitor project progress and update schedules in collaboration with the project manager.
Assist in coordinating on-site activities and ensure safety and quality standards are upheld.
Document project milestones and prepare progress reports.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to resolve technical and logistical issues.
Participate in project meetings and present findings or updates.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance project workflows, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in energy systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related discipline).
Previous experience as a project engineer with electrical engineering experience or in a similar role (5 to 10 years)
Knowledge of conventional and renewable energy systems (solar, wind, thermal, etc.) is a plus.
Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, or equivalent).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic understanding of project management principles (knowledge of tools like MS Project is a plus).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Certifications (Optional but Preferred):
EIT (Engineer in Training) Certification.
Familiarity with energy standards such as ASME, IEEE, or ISO standards.
