Job Description
Successful candidate will manage a team of Powder Coaters, responsible for the complete powder coating process.
Estimate material requirements, assign tasks, evaluate work progress, ensure that safety guidelines are respected, recommend corrective actions, and train staff.
Responsibilities
Supervising production line (powder coating section) in accordance with plant policies and procedure.
Responsible for shift schedule, workstation assignments/rotations, staff annual leaves, overtime.
Responsible for preparation of parts for coating.
Ensure all principles and practices of powder coating application.
Observe all coating equipment including electrostatics guns, machine gauges to detect defects.
Ensure baking at appropriate temperatures within limited time.
Ensure that all canopy parts produced are well coated and production activities consistent with company established goals for quality and customers specifications.
Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout facility.
Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment.
Ensure basic knowledge of the mechanics and repair of coating equipment.
Responsible for proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment and machines.
Responsible for meeting production goals and targets.
Take upIMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the workplace, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies.
Requirements
Candidates should possess B.Sc Degrees with 5 – 7 years relevant work experience.
Competencies:
Demonstrating good ability to spray powder to the correct thickness range
Knowledge of powder painting, maintenance of powder coat equipment, and how to read blueprints and drawings
Knowledge of the mechanics and repair of coating equipment
Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash and pretreatments.
Able to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong reporting skills.
