We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Procurement Officer to manage sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of quality raw materials, components and services in a cost-effective and timely manner.
This role ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management, negotiation, vendor relations and a solid understanding of the renewable energy and manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new suppliers.
Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers of raw materials and production equipment.
Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid production delays.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers and service providers.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed in collaboration with the production and inventory teams.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
Maintain accurate procurement records and update the procurement database regularly.
Analyze market trends to forecast demand and minimize purchasing costs.
Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to understand product specifications and procurement requirements.
Coordinate with logistics and warehousing teams to ensure timely delivery and proper storage of materials.

Requirements

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of procurement experience (manufacturing/renewable energy preferred)
Proven working experience as a procurement officer or head of procurement or supply chain.
Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and procurement best practices.
Hands on experience in handling supply contracts both at local, regional and global levels.
Excellent negotiation, communication and vendor management skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with solar panel materials and industry trends.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to be creative and innovative in finding solutions and negotiating strategies.
Ability to communicate with a diverse audience at various levels and all countries and cultures within the organization.
Proficient in utilizing E-sourcing platforms.
