Develop and implement plantation strategies to achieve business objectives.
Lead and manage the plantation team to ensure optimal performance.
Plantation Operations and Management:
Oversee land preparation, planting, maintenance, and harvesting.
Implement best agricultural practices (GAP) for planting, fertilization, pruning, and pest control.
Develop and execute production plans to achieve business goals.
Ensure maximum yield and quality of fresh fruit bunches (FFB).
Manage the harvesting process and ensure efficient post-harvest handling.
Implement sustainable agriculture practices and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Deep understanding of oil palm cultivation, growth requirements, and best practices.
Knowledge of common oil palm pests and diseases and their control methods.
Understanding of soil health, nutrient requirements, and appropriate fertilizer application.
Knowledge of farm machinery and equipment and their maintenance.
Understanding of irrigation systems and their operation.
Lead and develop farm teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
Manage budgets, control costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Optimize resource utilization, including labor, machinery, and inputs.
Maintain accurate records of farm activities and prepare reports for management.
Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Identify and resolve technical issues that arise in the plantation.
Implement best practices and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
Qualifications
Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 3 – 5 years work experience.
