The Operations Supervisor will oversee all salon floor activities, ensuring seamless daily operations, efficient staff scheduling, high-quality service delivery, and a clean, well-stocked workspace.
This role supports the Business Manager by feeding key operational data, managing escalations, and contributing to a superior client experience.
The Operations Supervisor will also play an active role in planning and implementing technical staff training.
Key Responsibilities
Salon Operations Oversight:
Supervise daily floor operations and staff workflow.
Coordinate shift transitions to ensure uninterrupted service.
Monitor use and cleanliness of salon equipment and workstations.
Team Supervision:
Schedule and track attendance for all technical staff.
Conduct routine check-ins, performance reviews, and one-on-one coaching.
Provide on-the-job guidance and mentorship to junior stylists and assistants.
Inventory & Resource Management:
Collaborate with Inventory Officer to maintain adequate stock levels.
Review and approve stock requisitions; escalate issues to vendors if necessary.
Service Quality & Client Experience:
Monitor and uphold service quality across hair, nail, and styling services.
Handle escalated client concerns professionally and promptly.
Enforce hygiene protocols, grooming standards, and workplace professionalism.
Training & Development:
Recommend and help organize technical training sessions based on skill gaps.
Lead onboarding and orientation for new technical staff.
Periodically deliver or facilitate in-house training workshops.
Reporting & Operational Input:
Provide regular updates to the Business Manager on floor operations, challenges, and staff performance trends.
Identify recurring operational issues and recommend process improvements.
Plan and lead technical staff development sessions in collaboration with the Business Manager.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or degree in Cosmetology, Beauty Management, or related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role within a salon or similar service environment.
Proven team leadership and conflict resolution skills.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Familiarity with salon tools, treatments, and industry best practices.
