Plan and coordinate the preparation and review of contracts to ensure commercial contracts are fit for purpose, mitigate contractual risks and are delivered within the operational budgets.
Offer expert insight into commercial contracts across the business
Provide guidance to support the production of any legal and contractual correspondence including terminations, breach of contract notices etc; which may from time to time be required for Legal engagements
Support the contracting process for services delivered by ntel to its Customers
Develop contracting systems to ensure robust processes across the organisation
Oversee negotiation of commercial agreements and contracts to ensure all contracts are processed in line with ntels’ policies and business objectives
Negotiating and evolution of contracts to ensure the business does not take excessive risk or contract on inappropriate legal or commercial terms.
Provides support for the development and implementation of a Contract Management methodology that aligns to best practice and ensures accurate recording of and access to contract information.
Education / Professional Certification
First Degree in Law (LLB, BL)
Masters in Law is an advantage
Professional Certification in Law is desirable
Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association or any relevant body is required
Minimum 15 years experience including:
5-8 years’ experience negotiating and drafting telecom contracts
10 years’ proven experience in commercial contract management
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages
Demonstrable skills and success in leading and developing others.
