We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Officer to join our team.
The Logistics Officer will be responsible for coordinating the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods.
This role requires strong logistical planning skills, the ability to multitask, and a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibility
Coordinate the transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouses or distribution centers.
Plan and schedule shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers.
Monitor inventory levels and track shipments using logistics software.
Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
Assist in logistics planning for site mobilization, relocation, or staff movements.
Provide admin support for office and site supply logistics.
Prepare and maintain delivery logs, waybills, and inventory movement records.
Support the warehousing team in organizing, storing, and retrieving materials.
Liaise with third-party transporters and delivery service providers.
Negotiate favourable rates and ensure compliance with delivery timelines and standards.
Organize and monitor the transportation of construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from project sites.
Qualification
OND / HND / B.Sc. in Logistics, Business Admin, Transport Management, or related field
1–3 years of experience in logistics, preferably in construction or real estate.
Good knowledge of Abuja or project city routes and transportation systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel and basic inventory or tracking tools.
Driving skills is an added advantage.
