About the Role

We are seeking a caring and experienced Live-In Home Occupational Therapist to provide personalized therapy and daily living support. The ideal candidate will combine professional expertise with patience, creativity, and the ability to create a supportive and engaging environment that encourages the child’s independence, learning, and social development.

Key Responsibilities

Assess the client’s strengths and needs to create an individualized occupational therapy plan.
Use structured activities, play-based learning, and sensory integration techniques to improve fine motor skills, coordination, and self-care abilities.
Support the client’s social interaction, communication, and emotional regulation in daily routines.
Introduce and implement adaptive strategies to make daily tasks easier and more enjoyable.
Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and other caregivers to ensure consistency in therapy goals.
Monitor progress, update therapy plans, and provide regular feedback to the family.
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages growth and confidence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
2–4 years’ experience working with children, preferably with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Strong knowledge of autism intervention techniques and sensory integration therapy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High levels of empathy, patience, and adaptability.
Willingness to live on-site in Ikoyi.
