Job Description
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.
This role ensures the efficient operation, performance, and security of IT systems while providing technical support to users.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various platforms.
Implement and maintain system security policies, firewalls, antivirus software, and data backup solutions.
Ensure regular updates and patching of all systems to prevent vulnerabilities.
Provide technical support to staff, including hardware, software, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Maintain and update documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT support and procurement.
Plan and support IT infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, data protection regulations, and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of system security, backup/recovery procedures, and monitoring tools.
Proficiency with Windows/Linux server environments, virtual machines (VMware/Hyper-V), and Active Directory.
Experience with network administration (LAN, WAN, VPN) and firewall configuration.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
