We are seeking a caring and responsible Hostel Parent to join our team.
As a Hostel Parent, you will be responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for students living in the hostel.
You will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of students, as well as maintaining a clean and organized living space.
Responsibilities
Provide a safe and supportive environment for students living in the hostel
Ensure the well-being and safety of students, including monitoring their physical and emotional health
Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, encouraging their personal growth and development
Supervise and manage student behavior, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise
Maintain a clean and organized living space, including common areas and student rooms
Collaborate with other student life staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
Develop and implement programs and activities to promote student engagement and well-being
Maintain accurate records and reports, including student attendance, behavior, and progress
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience working with teenagers, preferably in a school setting
Experience working with students of varying ages and backgrounds
Experience developing and implementing programs and activities to promote student engagement and well-being.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
