We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Architecture & Design to lead our creative and technical design team in Nigeria.
This is a senior leadership role within our growing interior design company, responsible for overseeing all architectural and interior design projects & dash;from concept development through to execution.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creative flair, technical excellence, and team leadership, with a strong portfolio of commercial projects.
You’ll work closely with clients, senior management, and contractors to ensure that every design reflects the company’s high standards and aligns with client goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the architecture and design team, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
Oversee the design process from initial concept through to final execution on commercial interior projects.
Ensure the integration of architectural principles with interior design, delivering cohesive and innovative spaces.
Present and communicate design concepts, plans, and visualizations to clients and stakeholders.
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of all projects.
Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Coordinate with external consultants, engineers, and contractors as required.
Maintain awareness of emerging trends, materials, and technologies within architecture and interior design.
Ensure all projects comply with local regulations, building codes, and health C safety standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years experience in architecture and interior design, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
Strong portfolio of completed commercial projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD, In Design, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite (or similar design tools).
Excellent understanding of architectural detailing, materials, construction methods, and space planning.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to tight deadlines.
Confident in client presentations and team coordination.
