Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategies to enhance technical services.
Align technical operations with overall organizational objectives.
Technical Operations Leadership:
Lead and manage the technical operations team, ensuring policy documents accuracy, the efficient handling of insurance and reinsurance placements.
Oversee underwriting, claims processing, and risk assessment functions.
Business Development:
Identifyand capitalize on new market opportunities to grow revenue.
Own and hit/exceed sales targets.
Establishand maintain relationships with high-profile clients and stakeholders.
Client Relationship Management:
Provide expert advice to clients on technical matters.
Ensure the delivery of tailored solutions that meet client needs.
Compliance and Risk Administration:
Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
Oversee risk assessments and provide expert guidance on complex insurance and reinsurance cases.
Team Leadership and Development:
Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous learning.
Implement initiatives for staff development and retention.
Requirements
BA / BSc / HND; A Master’s degree is preferred.
Associate Member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN) or Chartered Insurance Institute, UK;
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role;
Experience in Oil & Gas and Aviation Insurance is highly desirable;
Strong and proventrack record of driving business growth and achieving strategic objectives;
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and decision-making skills;
Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex operations.
