Set up fibre optic telecommunication and data networks
Lay underground and underfloor fibre optic cabling
Test systems and find, fix any faults
Design, build and test fibre optic equipment
Communicating with clients or contractors about project status
Liase with customers in person, on the phone or online
Maintain detailed records of each job
Working with engineers to develop designs for new projects, and providing documentation for completed projects
Conducting feasibility studies for new projects and investigating potential problems in existing processes or equipments
Requirements
Strong understanding of fibre Optic technologies and transmission systems
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and with team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer use competency
