Responsible for driving trucks or vans to transport materials and products to and from specified destinations.
Responsible for making deliveries and ensuring that all products that leave the warehouse are in good condition.
Ensure products are delivered promptly.
Keep vehicle organized, clean and tidy.
Ensure inventory stock matches delivery requirements.
Maintain truck to ensure it remains in good driving condition.
Ability to complete overnight travel to meet delivery requirements.
Handles product properly and reports damage to Operations Manager.
Complete daily maintenance checks on the delivery van and notify the Manager of any issues.
Complete documentation such as logs, mileage reports.
Follow all state and national safety regulations and standards.
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE or equivalent
Minimum of 3 – 5 years of professional truck driving experience.
Valid and up-to-date driver’s license
Good knowledge of road safety regulations and routes
Must be physically fit and able to lift or move heavy items when required.
Ability to read and understand delivery documents, instructions and maps.
Must have no history of traffic violations or substance abuse.
