We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data flow, and working with various data infrastructure technologies.
This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration and accessibility of data across the organization, enabling data-driven decisionmaking and insights.
Key Responsibilities
Data Pipeline Development:
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support various data processing and analytics needs.
Develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to consolidate data from multiple sources.
Data Integration and Management:
Integrate data from various internal and external sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Manage and optimize data storage solutions, including databases and data warehouses.
Data Quality and Governance:
Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing procedures.
Adhere to data governance and security policies, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
oProvide support and troubleshooting for data-related issues and system performance.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
Continuously optimize and enhance data pipelines and infrastructure for performance and scalability.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Master’s degree or relevant certification in data engineering, data science, or big data technologies is a plus.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
Proven track record of designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Experience with data processing frameworks and tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for data storage and processing.
