We are seeking a proactive and result-driven Credit Officer (Sales) to drive loan acquisition and grow our client base.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying credit-worthy clients, promoting loan products, assessing credit applications, and ensuring prompt disbursement while maintaining portfolio quality.
This role combines sales targets with credit risk evaluation, requiring strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
Summary
The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to persuade prospective clients to sign on to our loan product(s).
Ultimately, a successful sales executive should be passionate about selling and be willing to overcome challenges gracefully.
Responsibilities
Market loans to target audience for portfolio growth.
Conduct field visits, business assessments, and customer verifications to evaluate creditworthiness.
Generate quality leads, follow up on prospects, and convert them into active clients.
Present credit recommendations to the credit committee for approval.
Loan Form Documentation and follow through to disbursement.
Maintain strong customer relationships and provide excellent post-disbursement support.
Rendition of periodic activity reports.
Analyze market trends and advice accordingly as part of product improvement.
Requirements and Skills
Prior on the field sales experience is mandatory.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Banking, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in credit sales, micro-lending, or financial services is mandatory.
Strong sales and marketing skills with a proven ability to meet or exceed targets.
Good understanding of credit risk assessment and loan documentation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work under pressure and in a performance-driven environment.
Familiarity with the local market and customer segments is an added advantage
Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have completed NYSC.
Renumeration
Salary: N120,000.00 – N180,000.00 (Negotiable)
Transport and airtime allowance included
Commission on loan value sold.
20% base salary increase on attainment of 2 consecutive months’ set
