This is a full-time on-site role located in Lagos for a Business Development Executive. As a Business Development Executive, your tasks will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners to discover and explore opportunities.
To regularly get the company RFQs and POs.
Sourcing for jobs in the mid/upstream sectors of the Oil and Gas.
Tendering of bids from the information gathering stage to submission.
Drive new business by promoting the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators to prospective clients in comparison to competitors:
Actively manage the sales process: leads, prospecting, qualifying, needs analysis, proposal, objections, closing & follow-up.
Develop sales growth strategies, tactics, and action plans to achieve all the key objectives (financial, operational, and customer satisfaction).
Prepare proposals relevant to the client’s needs, goals, roadmap, and, where applicable, in response to requests for proposals and quotes.
Partake in contractual and financial negotiations, where required.
Actively monitor market trends through clients and by attending industry functions (association events, seminars, conferences), thus recommending new products, services, and marketing channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
Regularly interface with regulatory agencies such as NCDMB, NUPRC, NUIMS, NIPEX, etc
Identify forums, conferences, and platforms to promote the company’s services, such as Nipex, E-tenders, etc

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, with hands-on experience in tender/bids packaging.
Experience in navigating NIPEX e-procurement portal.
Strong Communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Experience in the oil and gas industry is a must.
