Position Overview
The Billing Manager oversees the billing operations of an organization, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, compliance with financial regulations, and efficient revenue cycle management. This role involves managing a billing team, resolving billing discrepancies, and improving billing processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Handles and audits all posting of time sheets in time and Material projects
Reconciles and audits all engineer warehouses on AX to ensure timely billing
Reconciles and audits all Invoicing warehouses on AX to ensure timely billing
Reconciles and audits all remote area warehouses on AX to ensure timely billing
Handles and controls all Documents that goes to Branches or customers (Transfer/ Deliveries/ invoices)
Handle and control all documentations required with the billing to ensure credit control can collect the money
Handles and controls all spread sheets required for Key accounts
Continuous engagement with Revenue manager to ensure all Sales orders are invoiced and completed
Reconciles subledgers and ledgers to ensure locking of months is done on a timely manner
Production accounting controls and reconciliation
Audits and controls all GRN posting
Ensure all posted Stock in transit is controlled and followed up for posting
Ensure all deliveries are invoiced and closed on a daily basis
Handles all Post costs which is the Matching principle between revenue and costs for projects
Controls all expenses posted on projects or invoices going to projects to ensure the scope is controlled
Engagement with FP&A on skipped invoices or mis allocation of expenses on projects.
Handles milestone billing in projects
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
10+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management.
7+ years in a supervisory or managerial role preferred.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., AX, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and billing software.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, invoicing, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and data analysis.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
Strong communication skills for client and interdepartmental interactions.
Preferred Certifications (Optional):
Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
