Remove old upholstery: Take out old upholstery from seats, door panels, and other areas of the vehicle
Measure and cut new materials: Use measuring tools and patterns to cut new upholstery materials to the correct size
Sew and attach: Use sewing machines or hand sewing to join sections of upholstery and attach them to the vehicle frame
Adjust or replace springs: Adjust or replace seat springs, and secure them in place
Repair convertible tops: Repair or replace convertible tops
Refurbish interiors: Replace cushions, drapes, and floor coverings to restore the interior of a vehicle
Attach accessories: Attach trim, buckles, fasteners, and other accessories to the vehicle.
Requirements
Candidates should possess an SSCE / OND qualification with 3 – 10 years relevant work experience.
