Duties / Responsibilities
Works with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed.
Analyzes movement and use patterns of the space.
Creating initial design sketches, color themes and ideas based on client requirements and space availability
Consults with client to select materials, furnishings, and décor pieces.
Produce photo-realistic 3D images or animations of proposed models, plans, designs, buildings and developments
Compiling finishes boards including color, furniture dimensions, furniture layout and finishes selections in line with client’s requirements
production of rendering and post rendering works
Use of necessary materials, adhering to project and budget specifications.
Oversees the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements.
Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.
Ensure implementation of design changes where necessary and adequate spatial planning
Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or a related field required; coursework in computer-aided design (CAD) highly preferred.
At least 3 years of relevant experience required.
Must be able to distinguish between colors.
Required Skills / Abilities:
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to apply a sense of style to create aesthetically pleasing interiors.
Strong visual design skills including proportion and aesthetics
Excellent communication skills, especially in regard to communicating an artistic vision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Revit, Sketch up or 3dsmax.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
