Our business started out in 1987 and since then we have succeeded in carving a niche for ourselves in the home appliances market in Nigeria. We operate a number of branches that cut across most of Nigeria’s geopolitical zones; in major cities such as Lagos, Port Harcourt, Onitsha, Enugu, Kano and Abuja.
Our longstanding reputation has earned us a status as Nigeria’s lead player in the electronics industry and as a result, we decided to go further by partnering with SAMSUNG to establish a local manufacturing line for its air conditioners and refrigerators in 2004. This, coupled with our state-of-the-art service centre that caters to consumers who buy our products, ensures that our customers enjoy the best quality of service from us and the best performance possible from their electronics.Key Responsibilities
Ensure tracking of cash remittances by branches and follow through with unremitted funds across sales channels
Track cash leakages in store and follow through
Ensure timely provision of audit requests relating to revenue for both internal and external auditors
Ensure proper tracking of online sales remitttances by online sales partners and follow through with unremitted funds.
Preparation of expense journal for posting into GL
Work with the Revenue Assurance team lead on all revenue/income line items
Monthly review of GL and TB of all income GL line items
Reconcile daily sales report with inflow into each bank accounts
Weekly sales tracking report is available for decision making
Requirements
A good Degree in Accounting or Finance
2 – 3 years’ experience in similar role
Student Member of ICAN/ACCA, or any other related professional body.
Knowledge Requirements
Knowledge of basic accounting book keeping and receivables principles
Knowledge of general accounting principles
Knowledge of accounting software
Sales and financial data analytic skills
ERP software Knowledge.
