Our client, a Microfinance Bank in Gbagada, is seeking three smart and detail-oriented Accountants to join their finance team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, and providing accurate financial reporting to support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Monitor cash flow, reconcile bank statements, and manage ledgers
Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pensions, and other statutory deductions
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
Handle internal and external audit requirements
Ensure compliance with microfinance banking regulations and internal policies
Track and report on loan disbursements, repayments, and financial exposures
Requirements:
B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience (experience in a microfinance or financial institution is preferred)
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or any core banking system)
Strong understanding of financial regulations, reporting, and reconciliation
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
