The supervisor will manage subcontractors and ensure projects are delivered on time, scope, and cost. Duties will also include allocating and monitoring budgets.
This role requires excellent communication skills, as you will collaborate with various people, such as construction workers, architects, and engineers.
To succeed, it is important to know how.to implement and enforce quality, health, and safety standards onsite.
Responsibilities
Prepare daily and monthly construction or project report or update.
Construction logistics planning and execution
Estimate, check, review, prepare & submit bids,
Manage all construction subcontractors and provide full-time site coordination.
Develop and maintain construction schedule, budget, and scope.
Generate and or review changes orders through approval process.
Schedule and conduct all project progress and site meetings.
Review the safety programs of the sub-contractors and ensure acceptance with the organisation.
Maintain permit and other approval documents on site.
Plan permit related and third-party inspections.
Minimize disruptions to client operation activities and coordinate tie-ins as appropriate.
Prepare and monitor Look Ahead activities, planning & scheduling.
Administer Site Safety and Quality Control of the project
Prepare, review/check & recommend manpower, equipment & materials requirements.
Prepare and submit Pay Application/Billing
Review and recommend subcontractors physical accomplishments for payments.
Conduct site and work inspections, reviews & check plans vs. actual.
Coordinate facility commissioning and startup activities.
Prepare, review/check Closing Documents and Turn-over
(i.e., As-built plans, Brochure, Manuals, Warranties, Spares and Testing)
Implement and execute strictly the company policy, procedures, and protocols.
Prepare and check the budgetary allocation of the project vs. actual expenditures.
Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field; Master’s degree is a plus.
Previous experience as a construction supervisor with electrical engineering experience or in a similar role (5 to 10 years)
Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes
Familiarity with CAD software, proficient with MS Office suite including MS Projects,
Organizational, communication and time-management skills.
