Assist the Head, HAM & Admin in all core HR matters. Heads the HR Section of the HAM and Admin Department.
Responsibilities
Issuing and receipt of staff requisition forms
Preparation and placement of vacancy advertisers.com.ng as approved by Management
Receipt of application and initial short listing of applicants.
Arranges and conducts recruitment interviews of all junior positions
Writes interview reports and prepares offer letters after approval
Receives new recruits, documentation, orientation and posting
Reviews recommendations for confirmation of appointments and presents to GM, HAM/Admin for final approval..
Develops training plan to meet identified needs.
Facilitates the implementation of training and development plan
Liaises with Sectional/Departmental Heads, Training Consultants and Industrial Training Fund in facilitating specific training programmes
Plans and facilitates induction training for new employees
Plans and facilitates Industrial Tours and Visits
Prepares all training rooms ready for use
Provides essential trainee-services including attendance register, course materials, name tags, course evaluation, meals and refreshments during training
Provides logistics support for invited training vendors
Conducts, analyses and documents post training evaluation
Prepares monthly and annual training and development reports
Ensures ITF approval of courses to be implemented
Makes training reimbursement claims from ITF
Coordinates all internal training sessions
Keeps and provides all training aids, tools and facilities
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in the cement or related industry.
Postgraduate/Professional qualification from an HR body such as CIPM, CIPD, SHRM.
Skills and Behaviors:
In-depth knowledge of learning and development strategies and best practices.
Strong understanding of Industrial Training Funds policies regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
