The patrol inspector is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, personnel, and assets of the organization.
This role involves monitoring security systems, responding to alarms, and providing a visible presence to deter unauthorized access and activities on/off days for inspectors.
Responsibilities
Security Monitoring:
Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems.
Continuously observe video feeds, alarms, and reports to detect and respond to security incidents.
Access Control:
Control access to the premises by verifying the identity of personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
Enforce access policies and procedures to ensure only authorized individuals are granted entry.
Incident Response:
Respond promptly to security alerts, alarms, and incidents, following established protocols.
Document and report security incidents, disturbances, and breaches to the appropriate authorities and management.
Patrol and Surveillance:
Conduct routine patrols and inspections of the premises to deter criminal activity and identify potential security risks.
Maintain a visible and vigilant presence to discourage unauthorized access.
Emergency Response:
Assist in emergency situations, such as fire alarms, medical emergencies, or evacuations, by providing guidance and support to personnel and visitors.
Report Generation:
Create detailed reports on security-related activities, incidents, and observations.
Maintain accurate logs of security events and actions taken during the shift.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other security personnel and departments to ensure a coordinated response to security challenges.
Compliance:
Adhere to and enforce security policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct routine checks and maintenance of security equipment/gadgets and report any malfunctions or issues to the relevant personnel.
Qualifications
Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields with 3 – 5 years work experience.
