Network Operations and Security is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day performance, reliability, and security of the organization’s network infrastructure.
This role combines technical expertise with leadership, guiding a team of engineers to ensure secure, efficient, and resilient network operations across on-premises and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
Manage enterprise LAN, WAN, and VPN for on-premise and cloud networking infrastructure.
Drive process improvement and documentation standards for networking and security operations.
Ensure the uptime, reliability, and optimal performance of all enterprise network components.
Oversee configuration, patching, and lifecycle management of networking hardware (firewalls, switches, routers).
Manage ISP/vendor relationships and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Enforce network security policies and controls across all systems
Management and implementation of firewall rule management, IDS/IPS monitoring, and security incident responses.
Ensure compliance with financial regulatory frameworks ISO 27001, PCI-DSS.
Coordinate and manage the network operations and network security engineers: assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance reviews.
Configuration and implementation of network monitoring tools.
Requirements
3–5+ years of experience in network engineering and/or security roles within the fintech, payments, or B2B financial services industry.
Implementation and configuration of network devices, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
Strong incident and change management skills.
Good understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF networking protocols.
Experience with tools like Cisco, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle and Google networking (VPC, TGW, NACLs, SGs), and security monitoring tools.
