Community Health Extension Worker at Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF)

Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF) is a Non-Profit and Non-governmental Organization in Nigeria which was registered as a corporate body with the Corporate Affairs Commission on the Eleventh (11th) day of July, 2014.Duty Description 

Provide obstetrical care to pregnant women and their babies, doing home follow up before, during and after delivery, according to required standard and obstetrical/reproductive health protocols, universal hygienic and newborn caring standards and under supervision of a specialist to avoid post-delivery complications

Main Duties

Facilitating communication between community members and the facility
Building a trusting relationship with the community and the facility
Helping people understand their health or social conditions
Providing advocacy for those who need it
Making home visits to high-risk patients, pregnant or nursing mothers, and the elderly
Holding groups and individual meetings with people in the community
Delivering health care information in a way that is easy to understand
Providing informal counselling
Determining eligibility for health care plans
Collecting data to inform future programs
Track an individual’s progress toward meeting health goals.

Qualifications

Academic: HND and ND in Community Health.
Professional License: Must have a valid and updated practicing license(preferred)
Work Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of working experience.
Computer skills: Candidate must have good knowledge of computer
Registration: The ideal candidate must be a member of the relevant professional body.
