Inventory Planning & Control:
Develop and implement effective inventory management policies and procedures.
Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to meet operational and customer demands.
Plan and forecast inventory requirements based on sales trends and seasonal demands.
Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Stock Monitoring & Tracking:
Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Maintain accurate inventory records in the system and ensure timely updates.
Track inventory movement, stock transfers, and adjustments.
Implement and maintain barcoding, labelling, and tracking systems.
Loss Prevention & Compliance:
Identify and investigate stock variances, shortages, and damages.
Implement controls to minimize loss, theft, or damage.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
Analyze inventory data to identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess stock.
Recommend strategies to optimize stock turnover and reduce holding costs.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
Supervise and train inventory officers, storekeepers, and warehouse assistants.
Coordinate with procurement, sales, and production teams for stock requirements.
Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure efficiency.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Inventory accuracy rate (%).
Stockout frequency and duration.
Stock turnover ratio.
Shrinkage and loss percentage.
Timeliness and accuracy of inventory reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, APICS, CSCP) is an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in inventory or warehouse management, preferably in [industry type, e.g., pharmaceuticals, FMCG, manufacturing].
Proven track record of managing inventory systems and stock control processes.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., Odoo, SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Knowledge of warehouse safety and storage best practices.
