We are seeking a detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our Fund team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in fund accounting and financial reporting, and will support the effective valuation, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting of our pension fund portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
Valuation & Reporting:

Prepare accurate and timely monthly fund valuation reports showing yields and Net Asset Values (NAV).
Supervise and execute monthly valuation and performance reports for regulatory submission to PenCom.
Prepare and submit monthly financial reports to Fund Sponsors, ensuring compliance with deadlines and accuracy standards.
Support the preparation of annual financial statements and ensure timely completion of audits with no material findings.
Conduct fund performance analysis, benchmarking against other PFAs and industry standards.

Audit & Compliance:

Support the annual year-end audit process, preparing documentation and responding to external auditor inquiries.
Ensure reconciliation of Assets Under Management (AUM) with third-party confirmations to maintain financial integrity.
Ensure adherence to financial regulatory guidelines and global accounting/reporting standards.

Innovation & Automation:

Contribute to the automation of reporting and reconciliation processes.
Assist in identifying and implementing innovative tools and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency within the finance department.

Financial Analysis & Strategic Support:

Support the preparation of reports such as Change in Net Asset Value (CNAV), MFR300, and ad-hoc performance reports for management and board meetings.
Collaborate with the investment team to analyze fund performance and support strategic decision-making.
Participate in departmental budgeting and responsibility accounting.

Requirements
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Relevant professional certifications (or in progress) such as ICAN, ACCA is an added advantage.

Experience:

2 – 3 years experience in fund accounting, financial reporting, or audit (preferably within pension industry).

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
