Join the next cohort of DCL Hausa’s Editorial Internship Program and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic media environment.
This internship is unpaid but offers valuable training and mentorship in digital journalism.
DCL Hausa is a fast-growing digital media platform dedicated to news, public enlightenment, and culturally relevant content in Hausa. We are offering a 3-month internship program starting August 1, 2025.
Please note: This is an unpaid internship.
Applicants must be ready to relocate to our DCL Hausa office for 3 weeks during the internship (you will cover your own transportation, accommodation, feeding, and logistics during this period).
Female candidates will be given priority, but male applicants are also encouraged to apply.
Minimum Requirements:

Ability to write clearly in Hausa (and optionally English)

Interest in journalism, storytelling, or content creation

Basic research and summarising skills

Good grammar and attention to detail

Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
Bonus Skills:
-
Translation between Hausa and English
-
Familiarity with WordPress and social media platforms
