Instruct students on how computers work, including the basic science and mathematics behind their operation and the hardware and software built on those foundations.
Teach students how to write computer programs, algorithms, and programming languages.
Create lesson plans and utilize various curriculum resources.
Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
Create projects designed to enhance lectures.
Keep records of grades, grade papers, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met. â—� Read and stay abreast of current trends in information technology.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
5 years of prior experience as an ICT Teacher in a school setting
Applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco certification
Passionate about fostering computer literacy and academic excellence
Excellent presentation abilities
Strong written and administrative skills
Able to use an interactive or smart board
21st-century teaching skills
TRCN Certification is an added advantage.
