Applications are now open for the Federal Ministry of Education 2025/2026 Technical Teachers Training Programme. The TTTP is a tuition-free one-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) aimed at upgrading the skills of secondary school teachers handling technical and vocational subjects across Nigeria.
The programme is expected to improve the quality of teaching in technical fields, better preparing students for 21st-century industry needs and ensuring Nigeria’s workforce remains competitive globally.
The PGDE will cover fields such as Technical Education, Vocational Education, Building Technology Education, Business Education, Home Economics & Hospitality, Agricultural Education, Automobile, Computer Science Education, and Electrical/Electronics, among others.
The pilot cohort will be implemented in partnership with six universities: Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Federal University of Technology, Minna; University of Benin; Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi; and Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo.
