DAAD EPOS 2026/2027 Scholarship at Freie Universität Berlin

The External Academic Relations office is pleased to announce the funded DAAD EPOS (Development-Related Postgraduate Courses) scholarships at Freie Universität Berlin in Germany. These scholarships support professionals from developing countries who seek to pursue a Master’s degree in development-related fields.

Benefits

The scholarship covers:

Full tuition fees

Monthly stipend (€992 for Master’s, €1,300 for PhD)

Health, accident, and liability insurance

Travel allowance

Optional support for rent and accompanying family members (where applicable)

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (usually four years) in a relevant subject.

A minimum of two years of professional experience is required.

Applicants must show clear motivation to contribute to development goals in their home countries after completing the program.

Selection Process

Selection criteria:

Strong academic performance (typically in the top third of class)

Relevant professional experience

Development-related motivation and potential for social impact

Language proficiency (English or German depending on the program; most are in English)
