Cometstar Manufacturing Co. Ltd is a member of Cometstar Group. It was incorporated on the 25th day of February, 2005. Cometstar Group was founded in 1983 in the name of Cometstar Elektrindo Limited by Chief James Uduji, the Group Chairman. Cometstar Elektrindo Limited was importing, selling, and distributing more than 600 electrical items including cables, overhead power transmission substation materials, switch boxes, and accessories.The Chairman conceptualized the diversification of Cometstar Group into manufacturing industry after the 2004 ISO convention in Buenos Aires, Argentina which he attended. He felt the need to contribute more meaningfully to the real sector of the Nigerian economy through manufacturing, hence the birth of Cometstar Manufacturing Co. Ltd in 2005.Core Responsibilities
Create and maintain electrical systems such as power distribution, communications and computer networks, and control systems
Carry out technical reviews, respond to requests for information, and reliability assessments for new or modified connections
Communicate both verbally and in writing with engineering, management and cross-functional teams as needed
Educational Qualification and Experience
Candidates should possess a B.Sc / B.Eng Degree / HND in Electrical Engineering
Membership of NSE, COREN or other engineering bodies is an added advantage
Minimum of 1 year of experience in power systems
Proven track record of troubleshooting skills, analysing problems to determine the root cause of powerand control system failures
Ability to write concise functional testing procedures, commissioning procedures, and field installation and modification instructions.
The ideal candidate must be a newly qualified engineer who wants to make a career in the Industrial Gas Sector
