The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes, nutritional standards, and health regulations.
This role requires an individual with a passion for culinary excellence, strong kitchen management skills, and an unwavering commitment to hygiene and food safety.
The successful candidate will deliver consistent, innovative, and delectable menu offerings while ensuring efficiency and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute a weekly meal timetable that includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner across various cuisines (local and intercontinental).
Prepare meals according to specified dietary requirements, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
Ensure kitchen hygiene by maintaining sanitary cooking stations and complying with food safety regulations.
Procure, store, and monitor kitchen supplies and minimize food waste through smart inventory control.
Monitor food freshness, handle perishables responsibly, and ensure proper storage practices.
Maintain kitchen appliances, utensils, and equipment, escalating issues for timely repairs.
Ensure punctual meal service and adapt to changing dietary needs or guest requests.
Perform weekly deep cleaning and daily cleanup of the kitchen, pantry, and cold storage.

Requirements

Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management is an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 years of professional cooking experience in a private residence, corporate kitchen, or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian, continental, and healthy dietary meal preparation.
Ability to manage kitchen inventory, plan menus, and work unsupervised.
Understanding of food safety, cleanliness protocols, and kitchen compliance.
Must reside within proximity to Lekki or be willing to commute reliably.
