We are seeking a skilled Power Plant Operator to oversee the operations and maintenance of our plant’s utility systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and operate utility equipment, including gas generators, chillers, air handling units (AHUs), air compressors, and ventilation air movers (VAMs).
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment such as steam turbines, boilers, pumps, and reverse osmosis (RO) systems.
Utilize control panels and monitoring systems to detect and address malfunctions.
Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and inventory.
Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure timely payment collections.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in power plant operations, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining utility equipment.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks such as climbing stairs and ladders.
Ability to work in conditions involving dust, fumes, and moderate to loud noises.
